India ended their ICC trophy drought on Saturday, June 29 as they lifted the ICC T20 World Cup in Barbados after a long wait of over a decade and Shikhar Dhawan who was a crucial part of the quest for an ICC trophy has posted a video of him celebrating the win with his friends.

Shikhar Dhawan who was part of a golden period where he piled up runs alongside Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli while dominating world cricket, however, not winning a major tournament posted a video of his jubilation after India's emphatic 7-run win over South Africa in the final.

Dhawan can be seen dancing and shouting with his friends while also congratulating the team saying, "Well done, boys."

He celebrated the win after Hardik Pandya dismissed Kagiso Rabada at 19.5 with 9 required from the final two balls, sealing the win for India.

He captioned the celebration saying,

"Feeling incredibly emotional as Team India takes home the T20 finals. You all performed brilliantly and showed amazing teamwork. Super proud of each one of you guys😍🏆 Jai Hind."

The explosive left-handed batter represented India in 6 ICC tournaments while top scoring in 2013 and 2017 Champions Trophy campaigns, being India's highest scorer in 2015 Cricket World Cup and also scoring a century in 2 matches played in the 2019 World Cup before getting ruled out due to an injury. 

He was also named the Player of The Tournament in the 2013 Champions Trophy where India defeated England in the final.
