Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians (MI) are the first team to be knocked out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The five-time champions are now looking to end their campaign on a high note by winning their last two games of the tournament. 

Mumbai Indians' next match is against the league leaders, Kolkata Knight Riders, on Saturday at Eden Gardens.

Mumbai had a disappointing campaign this season, being knocked out of the tournament despite an outstanding performance by star pacer Jasprit Bumrah. 

With two games remaining, one against KKR and the other against LSG, Mumbai has already lost to both teams once this season. 


MI Stars Spotted in Kolkata airport 

MI shared a video of their journey from Mumbai to Kolkata on their Instagram account. Players such as Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav and others were seen in high spirits at the airport.

Eden Gardens holds a special place for Rohit Sharma as it is one of his favorite stadiums in India, where he has a remarkable record. Suryakumar Yadav, on the other hand, previously played for KKR before joining MI in 2018.

The upcoming match holds significant importance for KKR as they aim to confirm their playoff berth and secure a top-two position on the table for an advantage in the playoffs. 

On the other hand, MI will be playing for pride alone, with nothing else to gain from the game as they're knocked out already from the IPL.
