Former Pakistan Under-19 captain Rohail Nazir

 recently revealed in a podcast that during the IND-PAK semi-finals of U-19 World Cup 2018, Shubman Gill and Shaheen Afirid had a tense sledging incident triggered in the heat of the moment.

Tensions always run high in India-Pakistan matches in the sporting field, and when the two Asian countries clashed in the U19 World Cup semi-finals back in 2018, sparks flared in the heat of the moment.

India, led by Prithvi Shaw batted first against Rohil Nazir led Pakistan squad. Interestingly, Pakistan's present strike bowler Shaheen Afridi was a part of that U19 team and he was given the responsibility to chip early wickets by skipper Nazir.

With matchup getting heated, Rohil Nazir recently revealed in a podcast that Afridi tried to intimidate Gill with bouncers and sledged him in the process.

Meanwhile, Rohil Nazir, who was keeping the wickets, heard Afridi warn Gill to beware as Pakistan pacers are lethal unlike the Bangladeshi weak bowling unit. 

To this, Shubman Gill also responded, saying that he should be equally intimidated as Indian batters are also destructive, unlike the Bangladesh unit.

Eventually, Gill had the last laugh as he slammed an unbeaten century to lead India to 272 runs total in the first inning.

And Pakistan on the other hand, crumbled under pressure as Ishan Porel's four-wicket-haul restricted PAK to just 69 runs and accordingly, India advanced to the finals of the U19 World Cup 2018.

In that year, Prithvi Shaw outclassed a dominant Australian side to lead India to its fourth U19 title win.
