Delhi Capitals Women will clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore Women to claim the trophy in the ultimate finale of the WPL 2024 season. While DC-W are riding on the winning momentum, captain Meg Lanning will look to field a formidable lineup for the high-stake game.

Delhi Capitals Women earned a direct pass to the final of the WPL 2024 season after finishing at the top of the table at the business end of the league. Meg Lanning and Co. delivered a fantastic performance against Gujarat Giants Women to re-establish their authority in the league.

Having said that, in a quest to become the ultimate champions, Delhi Capitals will clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore Women in the exciting finale of the tournament on Sunday.

While Lanning has managed to strike the right balance in her starting lineup this year, the captain isn’t expected to make any forced changes. She is settled with Shafali Verma at the top, with Jemimah Rodriguez, Marizanne Kapp, and Jess Jonassen fulfilling the middle-order duties.

Notably, Marizanne Kapp’s all-round performance has been a key to DC-W’s success this year. Her impact in the middle order and with the new ball has been incredible. Besides Kapp, Shikha Pandey and Radha Yadav have been equally efficient with the ball.

Interestingly, Kapp, Jess, and Radha are neck and neck in the purple cap race for most wickets in the tournament.

That being said, the only tiny area of improvement for DC-W ahead of the ultimate finale game is the fielding. The nerves and pressure of the finals make one do silly things on the field, which Delhi needs to avoid to outclass in-form RCB-W.
