Team India and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batting sensation Rinku Singh continues to become a household name for cricket fans around the country. His journey from rags to riches has made him a role model for many as youngsters look up to him. 

Singh has maintained his down-to-earth nature even after rising through the ranks and achieving success for the national team. A testament to that was on display during his recent practice session, where he signed the jerseys of several youngsters and also gave them autographs on their forehands and necks.

In the video posted by KKR on their official social media handles, Rinku can be seen hitting the ball out of the park for a maximum and then interacting with his young fans. One of the youngsters can also be seen telling him, 

"Bhai KKR (logo) pe kardo!"


Rinku has become a fan favourite, as mentioned by his IPL franchise in the video caption, ever since hitting five sixes in an over against Yash Dayal of Gujarat Titans to guide his side over the line in IPL 2023. Incidentally, he grabbed the limelight for his finishing abilities and quickly rose through the ranks to represent India. He had amassed 474 runs in 14 matches in the previous edition of the lucrative tournament. 

The prolific batter who has made his finishing skills known to the world is being looked at as a finisher in the run-up to the 2024 T20 World Cup. He proved his potential for the national team by notching up scores of 69*, 9*, and 16* in the three-match T20 series against Afghanistan. 

Overall, the left-hander averages 89 in the shortest format and has a phenomenal strike rate of 89.00 with two half-centuries and the highest score of an unbeaten 69 to his name. He will be a vital cog in the KKR setup as the franchise aims to break their title-winning drought in the upcoming season.
