Pathum Nissanka made an incredible effort behind the square leg boundary as Sri Lanka tries to defend a healthy total of 201 runs in their final game against the Netherlands in match 38 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

The incident took place at 1.3 when Nuwan Thushara was bowling to the Dutch opener, Michael Levitt. The batter flicked a rather poor delivery on a full delivery on his pads which was behind the square leg which just went over Nissanka's head.

The 26-year-old timed his jump well and got his hand to the ball which was traveling against the wind, unfortunately, failing to grab the ball as it went over the ropes.

Michael Levitt, however, failed to make a match winning contribution in the big run chase as he got himself stumped while trying to take on Maheesh Theekshana at the end of 6th over.

He fell for 31(23) as the Dutch side crumbled under pressure and were bundled out for a paltry 118/10 after a decent start to their chase. On the other hand, Sri Lanka get a consolation win to end a disastrous tournament.
