Karachi Kings

Kieron Pollard will once again start out as one of their primary exponents with the bat in the middle-order. The burly West Indies T20 heavyweight has already blasted 235 runs from just six innings for the franchise to emerge as their leading run-getter this season. The inconsistent batting form of Shoaib Malik, James Vince and captain Shan Masood, however, continues to concern Karachi Kings’ prospects.

Bowling, on the other hand, has been ably helmed by star fast bowlers Hasan Ali and Mir Hamza. Moreover, Hasan is currently placed among the leading wicket-takers of the season with 13 scalps to his name.

Lahore Qalandars

Defending champions Lahore Qalandars became the first team this PSL 2024 season to get knocked out of the playoffs race, considering Shaheen Afridi and co. has managed to secure just a solitary win from their eight league fixtures. With all hopes of securing a spot in the playoffs already quashed, Qalandars can still rise up the PSL 2024 points table to avoid the wooden-spooners tag by registering wins in their final two games.

Their batting has primarily revolved around Rassie van der Dussen and Sahibzada Farhan this season. Similarly, captain Shaheen Afridi and fellow speedster Zaman Khan have emerged as their primary strike bowlers, with no other bowler managing to tally more than three wickets.
