On February 21, the BCCI-organized WPL shared an excerpt from the captain’s photoshoot of the upcoming WPL 2024 season.

Mumbai Indians skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, RCB captain Smriti Mandhana, Australian-based Delhi Capitals leader Meg Lanning, UP Warriorz’ Alyssa Healy and Gujarat Giants’ wicketkeeper-captain Beth Mooney were all in attendance at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru for the pre-tournament event.

All five cricketers interacted with each other before they posed alongside the WPL 2024 trophy.

The Bengaluru venue will also host the opening match of the WPL 2024 season, with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on Delhi Capitals on February 23. The venue will host the first half of the tournament before the action will shift to the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in New Delhi from March 5 onwards for the remaining fixtures.

Mumbai Indians Women, under Harmanpreet Kaur, won the inaugural title back in 2023 last year by defeating Delhi Capitals in a last-over final.
