After not featuring for India post the World Cup in 2023, star pacer, Mohammed Shami has got back on the field, and has started high-intensity training ahead of his comeback.

Shami, who suffered from a Achilles heel injury, underwent a successful surgery earlier this year, and started light training, a couple of months ago. In the latest video released, Shami could be seen doing running activities to test his repaired tendons.

Currently he is at NCA, and is gearing up for the India comeback after a long time. Shami however, has stated that he will play for Bengal, before deciding to play for India. Playing domestic matches will allow the Indian pacer to test his body, and thus a decision will be made on the basis of his performance.

There are speculations that the right-arm pacer could be drafted in the India squad for the Bangladesh Test, but the BCCI won't rush him, since an all-important Border-Gavaskar series is coming up.

Shami, was the star performer for India during the World Cup last year. He scalped 24 wickets in the tournament, despite playing just 7 matches, at an average of 10.70. He missed India's T20 World Cup triumph, and also the series against England, which India won 4-1.
