Manchester United is arguably one of the most historic clubs in Football history. The club has a rich history of winning trophies and there legacy is unrivalled.

The team was on a decline in the 80s, but once Sir Alex Ferguson took over as manager, the club's fortunes changed for good. They have 20 Premier League titles, multiple domestic cups and are also two-time winners of the Champions League.

However, in the last decade, the team's performance has gone down. They have not won a league title in 13 years, and the club is also unstable on the financial front.

Two have their own godfathers

Just like Sir Alex was Manchester United's godfather, CSK have two in their ranks. MS Dhoni and coach Stephen Fleming. Both MSD and Feming have taken CSK to a different level since the inception of IPL in 2008. After the franchise was banned for two-years, bot the legends helped the Yellow Army to stand on their feet once again.

Similarly, United were a decent club when Sir Alex took over as manager. By the time he retired,, United had captured 20 league titles, which is still a record.

Both believe in youth system

Both United and CSK believe in youth policy. Now people associate CSK with older players, but they do produce young players. In their earlier days, CSK gave a chance to Suresh Raina, and he flourished well, and made a comeback in the Indian side.

Their current captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad has been with CSK since he was 22. Similary, they have integrated youngsters like Mathreesha Pathirana, Rachin Ravindra in the squad.

Similarly, United were the first club in Premier League to trust the youngsters. They believed in giving opportunities to their academy stars, a decision which paid dividend.
