Back in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup Final, India legend Yuvraj Singh faced more than just the pressures of a high-stakes match.

The night before the final, he struggled with dizziness and sleeplessness. The team physio, Nitin Patel, visited his room with sleeping pills, but Yuvraj's response was poignant:

"He can take whatever he wants, take away my life, giving me pain... God, just give us the World Cup."

Yuvraj Singh's contribution to Indian cricket is legendary, defined by extraordinary performances in crucial matches. Known for his thrilling batting, including the iconic six sixes against Stuart Broad in the 2007 T20 World Cup, Yuvraj’s World Cup exploits were equally unforgettable.

I never spoke on that subject: Harbhajan Singh

Despite battling severe health issues, including vomiting blood, he remained undeterred. Umpire Simon Taufel offered him the option to leave the ground, but Yuvraj resolutely stated, "You can take me to the hospital if I fall or collapse, until then, I am staying."

Harbhajan Singh, reflecting on Yuvraj's trials, revealed he chose to focus on Yuvraj's personal life rather than his illness, while Virat Kohli admired his resilience and strength.

“During his illness, I never spoke on that subject and I’d always ask about the girl he was going to date when he’d be back after treatment and if he’d introduce her to me,” Harbhajan said.

In his post-retirement reflections, Yuvraj expressed no regrets, despite the physical toll. His unwavering spirit was pivotal in his World Cup performance, earning him Player-of-the-Tournament honors with 362 runs and 15 wickets.
