The countdown to IPL 2024 has begun as the all the teams are gearing up for the biggest cricket carnival of the year. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders are trying to build excitement among the fans through their social media activities. 

Among its recent antics, the Kolkata-based franchise hyped its fans by dropping its popular anthem, chanting Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo re. The popular and catchy song has become synonymous with KKR's brand and fanbase. 

Taking to their social media handle, KKR uploaded the video while urging the KKR fans to only chant ‘Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo’ ahead of the upcoming edition. KKR captioned the post as: 

‘One constant chant all around Kolkata - Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo!’



Kolkata Knights Riders didn’t enjoy a fruitful season last year. In the absence of Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Rana led the side but couldn’t produce goods. They finished at seventh spot, managing only six victories out of 14. 

KKR would be counting on themselves as a contender ahead of the upcoming season, especially with the return of Gautam Gambhir as a mentor in the team. Shreyas Iyer hasn’t been in the best of form but his presence on the field should make them feel a world of good. 

Jason Roy pulls out of IPL 2024, KKR ropes in Phil Salt as replacement 

In a recent development, KKR’s opener Jason Roy, who was their best performer last year, has pulled out of the IPL 2024 edition. The Kolkata-based franchise have roped in Phil Salt as a replacement for the England opener. 

He has been signed at his reserve price of INR 1.5 crore. Kolkata Knight Riders will begin their IPL 2024 campaign against SRH on 23rd March 2024, Saturday.
