The highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar series is just around the corner and the preparations have begun for the 5-match Test series against a strong Australian side. This will be a stern Test for the India team who will be without their skipper, Rohit Sharma for the 1st Test in Perth.

The Indian skipper is reportedly ruled out of the first Test due to personal reasons and the Indian team has arrived in Australia without him. India arrived, Down Under in different batches and are getting ready for the crucial series which could decide the fate of the WTC finals.

Senior batter, Virat Kohli arrived first in Australia, followed by other team members as the individual practice session commenced, a couple of days ago. However, with the entire side now together, a combined net session took place under the watchful eyes of the coaching staff.

Kohli, Bumrah in focus as practice session commences in Perth

The two key players for the first Test - Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli were in focus as Team India started off their net practice. The two looked in good rhythm and India will hope the duo can perform to their best against a strong Australian side.

Mohammed Siraj, Nitish Kumar Reddy and R Ashwin also sweated out in nets as India are eager to win their third successive BGT against Australia, Down Under.

Australia, we have arrived

The team India coaches gave a stern warning to the Aussies, with a simple video message - Australia, we have arrived. The coaches could be seen working closely with the Indian team as the visitors will need to win the series, 4-0 in order to qualify for the WTC finale.

The India team still has 7 days of practice left as the first Test will take place on November 22. The pitch at the Perth Stadium will assist the pace bowlers and the team will need to adjust accordingly.
