[Watch] Injury Scare For Babar Azam; PAK Batter Screams In Pain As Ball Hits Him During Nets

All eyes will be on Babar Azam when the Pakistan side will take on Bangladesh in a two-match Test series. The former Test captain is training vigorously for the upcoming challenge and is seeing sweating hard in nets.

However, just a couple of days prior to the start of the first Test, Babar gave a mini injury scare to his teammates, when a ball struck him in the groin while practising in the nets. In a video that has gone viral, Babar could be seen in agonising pain as his teammates rush to check him.

Babar fails to decode Khurram Shahzad, gets hit badly - Watch

Pakistan bowler, Khurram Shahzad, bowled an out-swinger which Babar missed. In the next delivery, the right-handed batter expected another away going delivery, but Shahzad bowled a nip-backer and Babar failed to read it as the ball hit him hard on the groin area.

The 29-year-old looked in discomfort as Shahzad came to check on him. The elegant batter took some time to regroup and did some stretching exercises before resuming with his training.

Babar is coming off a difficult period in international level, where he has failed to deliver the goods. His next assignment will be the Bangladesh series, which begins from August 21 in Rawalpindi.

The second Test match will commence in Karachi as Pakistan eye a berth in the WTC finals.
