India's star cricketer, Hardik Pandya, has been seen bowling in the nets for the first time since his injury during the World Cup 2023, raising the possibility of his return to the side for IPL 2024 and T20 World Cup 2024.
Hardik Pandya got injured while bowling against Bangladesh in the ODI World Cup contest in Pune on October 19. This forced him to miss the remainder of the tournament.
Earlier reports hinted at Hardik Pandya's incomplete recovery, raising doubts about his participation in IPL 2024. However, witnessing him bowl has all but confirmed his presence in the tournament.
Currently, the Baroda all-rounder is practicing at the ground where he started his career. He uploaded a short clip on social media, featuring him exercising and bowling in the nets. In the video, he can be heard saying:
“Good to be back at a place of improvement. The amount of learnings I have learned on this ground has been priceless. My journey started, if I’m not wrong, from literally 17 years back on the same very ground. It feels to be back.”
Mumbai Indians acquired Hardik Pandya for INR 15 Crore in a monetary deal from Gujarat Titans, and he has now been appointed as the captain of the five-time champions for the upcoming IPL 2024 season.
Furthermore, Hardik Pandya needs to play the entire IPL 2024 season because the T20 World Cup 2024 is right on its heels and the star-all rounder is going to play a massive role as an all-rounder and as a vice-captain of the team.
