Ishan Kishan Training With IPL 2024 Teammate Hardik Pandya For India Return

Ishan Kishan has been honing his skills in Baroda for the past couple of weeks. Former Indian cricketer Kiran More confirmed that the dashing wicketkeeper-batsman continues to work towards a possible return to Team India’s setup.
His teammate Hardik Pandya has also been training alongside him, as the star all-rounder aims to attain full recovery from his ankle injury in time for the IPL 2024 season and the T20 World Cup 2024.

Ishan Kishan has been training at the Kiran More Academy in Baroda in the company of Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya. While speaking with Cricbuzz, Kiran More confirmed that Kishan is indeed training at his academy, but the former cricketer refused to divulge more details about the current wicketkeeper’s progress.
Ishan Kishan last featured in national clothing during Team India’s home T20I series against Australia back in November 2023. The cricketer subsequently opted out of the team’s all-format tour of South Africa and did not take part in home T20Is against Afghanistan and the first two Tests against England.
Indian head coach Rahul Dravid confirmed that Ishan Kishan needs to start playing some cricket in order to be considered for national selection. Dravid’s clear directive came after the 25-year-old made himself unavailable from international as well as Ranji Trophy fixtures.
Earlier this year, Kishan’s discipline and commitment also came into question after he was reportedly spotted partying in Dubai despite taking a “rest” from the Indian team.
It remains to be seen whether the young stumper will be recalled into the Indian side for their remaining three Tests against England. Currently, both Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya are slated to turn up for the Mumbai Indians franchise in the forthcoming IPL 2024 season, which is scheduled to commence in late March.
