Pakistan cricket team have had a strenuous time from the time they faced early exit from the 2023 World Cup, and it continued in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024 as they faced early exit ahead of reaching the Super 8.

On Monday afternoon, Gary Kirsten, Pakistan cricket's white-ball coach and assistant coach Azhar Mahmood arrived in Lahore to make a decision on Babar Azam's captaincy and make a necessary call regarding the future of Pakistan Cricket after the team's poor performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

In a recent video that is going viral on the internet, Pakistan's white ball coach Gary Kirsten was walking out from the airport and a reporter asked him about Babar Azam's continuation in captaincy.  

Gary Kirsten's reaction caused a stir among fans and cricket enthusiasts. The smile and nod from the South African have been widely interpreted as a positive affirmation, suggesting that Babar Azam will likely continue in his role as Pakistan's captain.

This viral video has fuelled speculation and discussions online, with many fans taking it as an unofficial confirmation. 

Meanwhile, Pakistan will host Bangladesh for a two-match Test series from August 21, where the red-ball captain Shan Masood will be leading the Men in Green.
