Afghanistan's premier pacer, Naveen-ul-Haq, has opened up on his relationship with legendary Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. 

During a chat with Texas Super Kings, the right-arm speedster revealed what led to his verbal altercation with the Indian great in the IPL 2023 and explained how they eventually moved on from the incident.

Notably, Naveen and Kohli had a heated argument during the RCB vs LSG clash in IPL 2023. After the players' verbal spat, the then-LSG coach Gautam Gambhir also got involved as he had an altercation with Kohli after the game's conclusion. 

In the video, Naveen revealed how he had been asked about the incident umpteen times. He further disclosed that their passion to give their all for their respective franchises led to that infamous incident during the high-voltage clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. 

However, the ace speedster clarified that they moved on from the incident and became friends during the India vs Afghanistan encounter in the 2023 World Cup at Arun Jaitley Stadium. 

When a packed Delhi crowd booed Naveen with 'Kohli Kohli' chants, the Indian batting stalwart came forward to support him and close the chapter once and for all.
