In an electrifying display of unconventional cricketing prowess, CSK star and Washington Freedom middle-order batter, Rachin Ravindra stunned fans and opponents alike by hitting two remarkable sixes off seasoned fast bowler Trent Boult using a tennis shot technique during an MLC match at Dallas.

Washington Freedom and MI New York clashed in the 14th fixture of the MLC 2024 edition earlier today. It turned out to be a complete domination from Washington as they handed a mega 94 run defeat to New York.

Batting first, Travis Head and Andries Gous put up an 80-run partnership before Rachin Ravindra joined the party to ensure a fiery finish off an excellent start.

Rachin Ravindra flexes his muscles

He took on veteran Kiwi fast bowler Trent Boult with an uncanny six off the third ball of the penultimate over.

Rachin stayed in the crease and slapped the slower short ball off Boult down the ground in what appeared to be a tennis forehand shot, just like Brendon McCullum used to play in his prime days. But Ravindra hit it so hard that it crossed the fence to award 6 runs to Washington Freedom.

To further put pressure on Trent Boult, Rachin Ravindra produced yet another awe-inspiring shot from his arsenal. Boult missed his length and fed a slot hit-me ball to Rachin, and the batter did justice by bending down on his knees to smoke another maximum straight down the ground.

Trent Boult lost his plot as he bowled two wides before getting hammered for another boundary on the final ball. Washington Freedom grabbed 23 runs from that fateful over as they finished with a par total of 182 runs.

Meanwhile, MI New York collapsed brutally in the chase as Freedom bundled them for a mere 88 runs to fetch a 94-runs dominant victory.
