Babar Azam has endured a tough couple of months, and has failed to deliver for Pakistan in recent matches.

He had a poor tour of Australia, and followed it up with a disappointing T20 World Cup campaign, where Pakistan got eliminated in the group stage. As a result, the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh provides a great chance for the former Test captain to regain some form.

Ahead of the much anticipated series, Babar has been sweating it out in nets, and has looked in ominous touch. However, two deliveries from pace bowler Khurram Shahzad in the nets tells us a story that Babar is yet to find his best timing and needs lot of work to be done.

He was hit on his groin, while trying to defend an incoming delivery from Shahzad. Babar looked in some discomfort, but carried onto bat. However, the next delivery indeed tells a sorry state of affairs for the white-ball skipper.

Shahzad once again exploited Babar's weakness, and bowled a nip-backer as he beat the inside-edge and the ball went onto shatter the stumps. Surprisingly, an elite level batter like Babar was made to look clueless in nets.

The 29-year-old has a great chance to prove his critics wrong when Pakistan collide against Bangladesh in the first Test, starting August 21 in Rawalpindi.

The second Test of the two-match series will take place in Karachi.
