The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) had an interesting IPL 2024 season. The team stuttered in the first half of the season, but bounced back in style to reach the knockout stage, where the team was defeated by Rajasthan Royals.

The RCB side always boasts the best batting lineup of the tournament, but one area where they always lack is the bowling. The team has been dreadful in the last couple of seasons, as they release their best bowlers, and replace them with average players.

The lack of cutting-edge in the bowling department is one main reason as to why RCB has never won the IPL title. The mega auction is likely to take place in December, and ahead of it, let us look a 3 bowlers RCB should target for the next season.

3 bowlers RCB should target for next season

Nandre Burger

The South African pacer had a breakout Test season, when he made his debut against India. Since then, his stocks has rapidly grown. He was eventually purchased by Rajasthan Royals for the 2024 IPL season, but the presence of Trent Boult meant that he only played 6 matches and took 7 wickets.

With the auctions coming up, RR might release Burger, and RCB should pounce on him, considering that he is a terrific new ball bowler, something which the franchise lacks.

R Sai Kishore

Gujarat Titans have plethora of spinners, with each being world-class in their own right. They have Rashid khan, Noor Ahmad in their ranks, and as a result, R Sai Kishore finds himself down the order with little game time.

The wily spinner played just 5 matches in 2024 season, and scalped 7 wickets, at 19.57. But with so many spin bowling choice to select from, there is a chance that GT might release Sai Kishore. RCB haven't properly replaced Yuzvendra Chahal, and the GT spinner could be the right guy to do that.

Shivam Mavi

A talented bowler who hasn't justified his talent, Shivam Mavi could be an option for RCB. He hasn't played much of an IPL for the last two years due to injuries, but a pathway to RCB could be a revival of his career. He can be the starter and could take the bowling to a different level.
