The Mangaluru Dragons are playing against the Hubli Tigers in the Maharaja T20 League 2024 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. 

The Hubli Tigers won the toss ahead of the game and opted to field first. Macneil Hadley Noronha and Rohan Patil gave the Manguluru Dragons a dashing start. The duo stitched a partnership of 44 runs from just 24 deliveries. 

Rohan Patil and Macneil Noronha set the tone for the Dragons

The aggressive intent of the two batters, especially Rohant Patil was evident from the beginning of the game. The southpaw took the attack to Kumar LR in the fourth over of the game. On the second delivery of the over, the bowler bowled full delivery around the off stump. Patil spotted the lack of a pace in the delivery and set himself for a big shot. He shuffled across the stumps and launched the ball over the mid-wicket fence for a maximum. 

In that over, Patil hit another six and a boundary, however he fell to Kumar LR on the last delivery of that over.

After the departure of Patil, Noronha soon followed him. However, after that Nikin Jose and Krishnamurthy Siddharth stabilised the ship for the Dragons. They stitched together a 74-run partnership which has set the Dragons on the way for a respectable total at the end of their 20 overs. 

At the time of writing, the Mangaluru Dragons are stationed at 129/3 in 14 overs. The match is temporarily paused to rain interruption.
