Asha Sobhana, aged 33, made history as the oldest female player to debut for the Indian women's team. In her debut match, Asha Sobhana claimed two wickets, contributing to India's victory by 56 runs. 

The match against Bangladesh women saw the target set to 125 runs in 14 overs due to multiple rain interruptions, with India emerging as the winners.

Sobhana took 2 wickets in her 3 overs giving away only 18 runs in the course. 

Deepti Sharma also secured two wickets, conceding just 13 runs, while Radha Yadav and pacer Pooja Vastrakar each claimed one wicket, limiting Bangladesh to 68/7.

After the game, Asha Sobhana couldn't hide her happiness as she spoke about her struggles and the joy she found in finally getting the chance to represent her country. 

She revealed that she had waited for 12-15 years for this opportunity, having started playing the game professionally in 2012.

During her interview, the entire Indian team and her teammates gathered nearby, cheering for every word she spoke. 

Asha expressed her gratitude towards Indian Women team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, her RCB captain, and vice-captain of the Indian team, Smriti Mandhana, as well as the entire team, for the support and love they had shown her.

Asha Sobhana is a product of the Women's IPL (WPL). She was signed by RCB in the WPL and has showcased her talent by taking 17 wickets from 15 games for RCB Women. 

Her impressive performance in the WPL earned her a call-up to the Indian team.
