Chennai Super Kings (CSK) secured a crucial 28-run victory against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the match held in Dharamshala.

Despite winning two consecutive games including the win against CSK at Chepauk, PBKS failed to maintain their momentum and were limited to 139/9 while chasing a target of 169/9.

MS Dhoni, remembered for his iconic innings in Dharamshala 14 years ago against Kings Eleven Punjab, entered for batting at number 9 during the 19th over against PBKS. 

However, he was dismissed for a golden duck by Harshal Patel. Dhoni was deceived by a slower delivery from Harshal Patel, which dipped sharply, leaving him unable to respond. The ball breached his defense, crashing into the off-stump.

Following MS Dhoni's dismissal for a golden duck, the crowd at Dharamshala fell silent. However, PBKS co-owner Preity Zinta was spotted celebrating in the stands. 

Unable to contain her emotions, she smiled and celebrated the wicket by clapping for Harshal's efforts.

CSK won the crucial game vs PBKS 

CSK needed a win to stay in contention for the playoffs after losing to Punjab at their home ground, Chepauk. Batting first, CSK posted 167/9 in 20 overs after being sent in to bat by Punjab. 

Rahul Chahar (3/23) and seamer Harshal Patel (3/24) impressed with their bowling, but Ravindra Jadeja's quickfire 43 off 26 balls saved CSK from a collapse.

In response, the Punjab Kings' batsmen, known for their record-breaking performances, could only manage to score 139 runs, resulting in a 29-run loss.
