Former Australia batter Andrew Symonds' son Will was one of the special guests invited by Cricket Australia (CA) and Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) authorities to interact with the two teams ahead of the New Year's Test at the iconic venue against Pakistan. The junior Symonds earned a great chance to catch up with Pakistan's modern-day stalwart Babar Azam.

The former Pakistan captain was kind enough to spend time with the aspiring young cricketer and offer him a word of healthy advice before preparing for his Test match duties.

Interviewed by Australian broadcaster Fox Sports afterwards, Will revealed practising with the former Pakistan skipper and earning brilliant advice from him on how to take his game forward with the bat in hand.

During their interaction, Babar gave Will a healthy advice on how to use his frontfoot and why it must go in the direction of the intended stroke for the desired connection with the delivery.

"I had a hit with Babar Azam," Will told the Fox Sports broadcasting panel with a wry smile. "He is a great guy. He was telling me about my frontfoot and why it needed to be straight. Because mine was slanted and needed to be straight."

Will Symonds was so impressed by Babar's generosity, he went to the extent of naming him among his favourite cricketers of the modern age alongside the Australian duo of Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head

Babar was seen shaking hands with Will before embracing the SCG for his training duties. The kid even clicked an image with the Pakistani players in a heartwarming gesture by the tourists, who treated him wonderfully after the NSW state association had sent a special invitation to the Symonds family to attend the New Year's fixture.
