Despite undergoing a challenging series on the personal front, Babar Azam was seen retaining high spirits on the field as he indulged in funny antics with youngster Agha Salman in the slip cordon on Day 3 of the New Year's Test against Australia

As Pakistan hunted for the remaining wickets in the Australian first-innings, the former skipper initially called his slip-catching partners Saud Shakeel and Salman for a discussion on cricketing matters. But then, the veteran got annoyed by Salman's cap coming in the way and asked him dramatically to take it off.

Babar slapped Salman on the head in all the fun and games and presumably told the youngster not to wear the cap while he was trying to talk in his ears about Pakistan's tactics and the likelihood of the ball coming down their path.

Amusingly, the incident happened one day after Salman's absence from the slip cordon during a costly drop catch off David Warner's bat had raised eyebrows before the cricketer revealed during the press conference that he was a "pee break" and hence asked youngster Saim Ayub to take his post.

Since it was yet another easy drop by Pakistan, Ayub's placement in the cordon and Salman's toiled break hadn't quite gone down well with the experts. However, he defended his debutant teammate by insisting the same mistake could've even been made by a stalwart such as Babar and is part and parcel of the game.

Babar probably made fun of Salman on that count while asking him to remove that hat with a hilarious head slap, which was captured in a viral clip by Pakistani fans on Twitter as they deemed it the former captain's love language for his teammate.
