Virat Kohli shared a cryptic one-word tweet on X just a day prior to the launch of India’s two-match Test series against Bangladesh. The legendary Indian batter is currently in Chennai along with the rest of his teammates as they bid to get in shape for some Test cricket action after more than six months.

The series against Bangladesh also marks Kohli’s return to Tests after he skipped India’s home series with England due to the birth of his second child earlier this year.

Virat Kohli’s tweet goes viral before BAN Tests

Virat Kohli took to X on Wednesday, September 18, i.e., just a day prior to the series-opening Test match against Bangladesh. Without giving any context, the legendary Indian batter wrote:

“Kindness”

Apparently, one word was all it took for Kohli to take India’s cricketing fraternity by storm as hordes of social media users are now speculating the exact context behind the cricketer’s cryptic post. Although, certain theories among fans indicate that Kohli’s cryptic tweet can be attributed to a potential brand deal the cricketer is about to sign.

Regardless, the 35-year-old was recently spotted grinding it out alongside his national teammates at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. On September 16 itself, the legendary Indian batter won a “competition fielding drill”, according to India’s fielding coach T Dilip.

Notably, the upcoming series provides Virat Kohli a huge platform to scale a couple of huge batting landmarks. Sitting on an illustrious pile of 8,848 runs at the moment, the right-handed batter is only 152 runs away from completing 9,000 Test runs to become only the fourth Indian player in history to do so.

Moreover, Virat Kohli is also on the cusp of overtaking Sachin Tendulkar’s all-time record of becoming the fastest player in history to complete 27,000 runs across all formats in international cricket. The 35-year-old is just 58 runs away from the breaching the remarkable threshold.
