His numerous records and achievements will surely be remembered by the generations to come.

Khawaja Shares Blast From The Past To Bid Farewell To Warner

Having said that, David Warner’s opening partner and old friend, Usman Khawaja, shared throwback pictures to pay tribute to the former’s extravagant career. Khawaja shared a picture of him and Warner during their teenage days and also added a photo of them holding the test mace on the other side to reflect the duo’s extensive journey.

He later congratulated Warner for his glorious career and insisted that this wasn’t an end but a bookmark in the batter’s life.

David Warner chose to hang up his boots after representing Australia in 111 tests wherein he scored 8695 runs, including 26 hundred and 36 half-centuries. On the flip side, in the 50-over format, Warner smashed 6932 runs across 161 matches, which also included 22 tons and 33 fifties.

In these past few years, David Warner remained a part of the Australian team that won the T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup, and the World Test championship.

Having said that, the opening batter has expressed his willingness to return to the ODI format if Australia needs his services during the impending Champions Trophy. But as far as red ball cricket is concerned, Warner is bidding adieu for good.
