New Zealand and Uganda are up against each other in the 32nd match of the ongoing T20 World Cup. Kane Williamson opted to field first in the game after winning the toss, and his bowlers repaid the faith that he showed in them.

Trent Boult started the Ugandan decimation with a couple of wickets in the very first over. The march of the Ugandan batters to and from the dressing room continued after this, and the Kiwis have taken a firm grip of the game.

The continuous fall of wickets meant that the Uganda innings came to stagnancy as the batters were not able to get off the block. The impeccable line and length of the New Zealand bowlers and the continuous pressure built by them restricted Uganda to 9/3 at the end of the powerplay. This is now the lowest score in the T20 World Cup history in the powerplay. Here is a look at the lowest totals achieved in T20 World Cups in the powerplay.
