Day 2 of the one-off Test between Afghanistan and New Zealand at Greater Noida Stadium got washed off because of a wet field. For the past two days, it has not rained in Noida, but the poor drainage system and bad facilities at the venue have raised several questions.

Recently, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) too mentioned that they would never visit Noida as they were left unimpressed by the facilities at the stadium. Limits were crossed when videos and photos were circulated online showing the stadium groundsmen using electric fans to dry the surface.

Further, a video went viral when the groundsman cut a patch of grass from the practice session and tried to paste it onto the area affected by the rain. However, it eventually became a laughingstock.

Caterer Uses Toilet Water To Clean Utensils

Shocking scenes have emerged from Greater Noida Stadium, where a few pictures have gone viral showing a catering person using the toilet water to clean the utensils. It has raised several questions at the Noida Sports Authority.

A report in India Today claimed that the facilities in the stadium were so bad that a member of the catering team was seen washing utensils in the washroom, near a urinal. The report also carried photos of the incident.

Afghanistan Responsible For Greater Noida Mess

It is worth noting that BCCI is not responsible for the fiasco at the Greater Noida Stadium. It is the Afghanistan cricket board that opted for Noida, as they also had the option to host the game in Kanpur or Bengaluru.
