Amin, Riaz 50s And Baig’s Spell Help PAK-W Down Ireland

Pakistan Women started off their ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2025 campaign with an emphatic 38-run win over Ireland at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. For the Irish, Jane Maguire picked up 3-33 while Arlene Kelly and Cara Murray chipped in with two scalps each.

Chasing 218, Ireland captain Gaby Lewis and number three Amy Hunter made 44 runs each, but Diana Baig’s four-wicket haul and Nashra Sandhu’s three-fer enveloped the entire Irish innings for just 179 in 44 overs.

Hayley’s Ton In Vain As WI Stunned By Scotland Women

Scotland Women stunned West Indies by 11 runs in the second match of the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2025 at the Lahore City Cricket Association Stadium. A calculated half-century from Sarah Bryce and a near run-a-ball 45 from Megan McColl pushed Scotland to 244 from 45 overs, despite a sensational four-wicket haul by West Indies captain Hayley Matthews.

In response, Matthews led much of the response for the West Indies team by scoring 114 runs from just 113 deliveries. However, the cricketer kept losing partners at the other end to Katherine Fraser (3-50), Chloe Abel (2-31) and Abtaha Maqsood (2-60).
