Table-toppers Delhi Capitals will go up against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the latter’s home ground in Bengaluru in match 24 of the IPL 2025 season on Thursday, April 10. A day prior to the potential cracker between the two sides, RCB’s English import Liam Livingstone and Capitals’ uncapped Indian star Ashutosh Sharma shared a hilarious pre-match banter at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium during a training session.
It is worth noting that both Livingstone and Ashutosh shared the same dressing room for the Punjab Kings franchise last year during the IPL 2024 season.
Livingstone, Ashutosh share hilarious pre-match banter
Ex-Punjab Kings colleagues Liam Livingstone and Ashutosh Sharma unintentionally shared a hilarious banter a day prior to RCB’s home fixture against Delhi Capitals in Bengaluru. Meeting outside the boundary between training sessions, Ashutosh candidly asked Livingstone if he would be bowling in the game.
Livingstone jokingly responded by pointing towards his own pocket, and said that he would like to bowl to Ashutosh considering the latter is an “easy wicket” for him. Ashutosh, amused over the joke, pointed towards the stands to indicate where he will be dispatching the English spinner in the match.
The RCB franchise, under the leadership of Rajat Patidar, has so far secured three wins out of four matches to be ranked among the top four sides on the IPL 2025 points table. The Capitals, on the other hand, continues to remain the only unbeaten team so far in the tournament.
A win for the RCB might put them on the top spot of the 10-team standings, if they secure a win margin big enough to dethrone Gujarat Titans’ NRR.
