Delhi Capitals wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul’s next Indian Premier League 2025 outing will come at his home ground, i.e., M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Slated to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru, it will also be against a team he has represented across two separate stints.

Having taken Chennai Super Kings to the cleaners on Saturday, Rahul might have to bat at No. 4 again if veteran opening batter Faf du Plessis regains full fitness.

Quite used to moving up and down the order across formats now, one expects Rahul to nail the middle-overs role at a venue he knows better than most players in the country. Another thing which one expects from the right-handed batter is achieving two below-mentioned personal milestones:

1. 50 fours vs RCB

Rahul needs to hit four fours to complete a total of 50 such shots against Royal Challengers. Assuming he does the same, which he easily can, he will become the 13th player to do so. In 15 innings against them, Rahul’s 648 runs have come at an average of 64.80 and a strike rate of 144 including a century and three half-centuries.

Third on the list of most fours in IPL history, former Sunrisers Hyderabad and Capitals captain David Warner (87) has hit the highest number of fours against RCB.

2. 500 Runs At M Chinnaswamy Stadium

Having scored 451 runs at an average and strike rate of 34.69 and 140.49 respectively at this ground, Rahul needs 49 runs to become the 12th player to score 500 T20 runs here. In doing so, the 32-year-old player will surpass the likes of Suresh Raina (470), Tillakaratne Dilshan (477), Manish Pandey (486), Warner (490) and Glenn Maxwell (493).

Unsurprisingly, former Bengaluru captain Virat Kohli is the highest T20 run-scorer at this venue. Only batter to play 100+ matches here, Kohli is also the only batter to amass more than 3,000 runs at this ground.
