In a significant development, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025 on Friday, March 14. The tournament will run from April 9 to 19 in the city of Lahore in Pakistan.
A total six teams will come up again each in order to grab the final two places in the World Cup that is set to be hosted by India later this year. The likes of Pakistan, Bangladesh, West Indies and Ireland will be in action, who failed to confirm a direct place in the World Cup through Women's Championship which took place from 2023 to 2025.
Besides, Scotland and Thailand are the other two teams in the competition as they are the next two best ranked sides in the ICC ODI team rankings. If we look at the timings, the day matches will begin from 9:30 AM local time and the evening encounters will be played from 2:00 PM local time.
The 15-match tournament which will be played across two venues in Lahore i.e. the newly renovated Gaddafi Stadium and Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) Stadium. Moreover, a round-robin format will be followed where the top two teams after the last game day will seal their place in the World Cup in India.
Coming to what will be a double-header first day of the tournament, hosts Pakistan will be up against Ireland at the Gaddafi Stadium and the West Indies will play Scotland at the LCCA Stadium. All the six teams will be eager to give their best as they are just one step away from making it to the mega event in India.

Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka and hosts India are the six teams who have already qualified for the World Cup after finishing in the top six of the Women's Championship 2023-25 cycle.
