During the 2024 CEAT Cricket Awards, New Zealand's fast bowler Tim Southee was posed with an intriguing question to name a cricketer with whom he would love to swap lives for a day. His answer was both surprising and insightful as he chose MS Dhoni, one of the most iconic figures in cricket.

MS Dhoni is one of the most celebrated and followed cricketers in India. Leading India to numerous victories, including three ICC trophies, Dhoni's legacy as one of the greatest captains in the history of the sport is cemented.

Even after retiring from international cricket in 2020, MS Dhoni continues to feature in the IPL for CSK and fans still cheer for him like the good old days. His charm, fan following, and admiration aren't lost despite his retirement from Indian cricket.

Having said that, the mass following of MS Dhoni is well documented amongst international cricketers as they witness his enigma during the IPL.

Meanwhile, at the recently concluded CEAT Cricketer Awards, New Zealand veteran pacer Tim Southee was asked to name a cricketer with whom he would swap lives for a day. 

'MS Dhoni," Southee responded without a second thought. He added that he is intrigued to know what life feels like for MS Dhoni, who is one of the most loved cricketers in the world.

Dhoni To Play IPL 2025?

That being said, MS Dhoni is likely to play the IPL 2025 season for CSK as an uncapped player as BCCI is contemplating bringing back an old rule that allowed retired players to be retained in the uncapped category.
