In the ongoing Test between India and Bangladesh at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai, the hosts have set a target of 515 runs for The Tigers. It was a Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant show as they both completed their centuries before declaring the innings.

On day 3, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant came to bat when India were 81/3. The two remained unbeaten till lunch and stitched a 167-run stand for the fourth wicket. Rishabh Pant smashed a century after 634 days on his Test return. Meanwhile, Gill was the top-scorer with an unbeaten 119 (176), which featured ten fours and four sixes.

It was Gill's fifth Test hundred and second against Bangladesh. Meanwhile, the internet went into a frenzy after Gill's century, and they took to Twitter to give a befitting reply to his critics. It is worth noting that Gill was under the scanner for his string of poor performances, as he registered a duck in the first innings and even failed in the first round of the Duleep Trophy.

Further, a few fans also hit back at the critics by mentioning Babar Azam. Notably, Babar is also going through a slump with the bat in international cricket,  that is why the fans compared Gill with Babar, but now the right-hand batter shut those trolls. Let's look at some of the reactions on the internet.

India vs Bangladesh Summary So Far

India, batting first, put 376 runs on the board courtesy of century from Ravichandran Ashwin. In reply, Jasprit Bumrah's four-wicket haul restricted Bangladesh to just 149 runs. In the second innings, Gill was India's leading run-getter with 119 (176), which helped India put a target of 515 runs.
