Tendulkar's Teammate Questions Rohit, Kohli And Bumrah's Work Ethic With An Explosive Post

Former Indian Cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has taken a direct dig at legendary cricketers Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah for not participating in Duleep Trophy 2024.

Notably, Kohli and Rohit featured in the recently held ODI series against Sri Lanka, which India lost by a comprehensive 2-0 margin. Meanwhile, Bumrah has been given an extended rest and didn't participate in the Sri Lanka series.

Manjrekar thinks the trio has got enough rest and should have played the Duleep Trophy 2024, which also features several international stars, including Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav.

Taking to his official handle on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Manjrekar even highlighted how these three players have played less games than the rest in the last five years.

"India has played 249 international matches in the last 5 years. Rohit has played only 59% of those. Virat 61 % & Bumrah 34%. I see them as well rested India players. Could have been selected for the Duleep trophy," he tweeted.

When will Kohli, Rohit and Bumrah return?

After suffering a two-nil ODI series against Sri Lanka, India will face Bangladesh in a two-match Test series at home.

Kohli, Rohit and Bumrah are expected to mark their return to competitive cricket with this series.
