In a thrilling encounter at the Brian Lara Stadium on August 28, the 6th match of the WCPL 2024 witnessed a spectacular masterclass by India's star batter, Jemimah Rodrigues. 

The game, featuring Barbados Royals Women against Trinbago Knight Riders Women, saw Rodrigues shine brightly with a match-winning performance.

Winning the toss, the Knight Riders opted to bowl first. Barbados Royals Women, led by a valiant 70 from Chamari Athapaththu, managed to post a competitive total of 130/7. 

However, the Knight Riders' bowlers made early inroads, dismissing three Royals' batters in the powerplay, reducing them to 43/3 after six overs. Athapaththu continued her impressive performance with the ball, claiming 2/24.

In response, Jemimah Rodrigues, batting at number 3 for the Knight Riders, played a crucial role in guiding her team to victory. 

Trinbago Knight Riders won by 4 wickets

Her innings was a masterclass of composure and skill. Rodrigues reached her fifty in the 19th over with a magnificent boundary, lofting the ball over mid-off for four. Her unbeaten knock of 59 off 50 balls was instrumental in steering Trinbago to a four-wicket win.

This victory propels Trinbago Knight Riders into the final, setting up a rematch with the Barbados Royals. The win also marks the elimination of the Guyana Amazon Warriors from the tournament.
