The Indian team recently lifted the coveted 2024 T20 World Cup title in the West Indies to end their decade-long ICC trophy drought. The ‘Men in Blue’ players subsequently travelled to Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka for 11 white-ball games to test their bench strength as they gear up for ICC’s next illustrious chapter, the 2025 Champions Trophy.

While currently in the middle of a rare break from international cricket, a hectic six-month itinerary awaits the Indian cricket team as they brace themselves for ICC’s next silverware.

India’s international schedule until 2025 Champions Trophy

The Indian team is slated to play a number of white-ball games against South Africa and England in their path towards next year’s 2025 Champions Trophy. Interestingly, India’s upcoming itinerary also includes various Test assignments as they strive to stay in contention to qualify for the 2023-25 WTC final.

With several white-ball fixtures lined-up and with crucial WTC points on the line, here is a look at India’s entire all-format international schedule until the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan next year.

Each of India’s 10 Test matches lined-up until the 2025 Champions Trophy constitute a part of the ongoing 2023-25 ICC WTC cycle. Currently at the top of the points table, the Indian team will strive to qualify for yet another final, set to be played out in June next year at Lord’s.

Notably, India’s home series against the visiting Bangladesh cricket team this September might well be called off owing to prevailing political unrest in the country. If Bangladesh team is unable to travel the India, the WTC points will be granted to the hosts.

Meanwhile, the away Test series against Australia later this year marks the first instance of a Border-Gavaskar Trophy being organized in a five-match format.
