In recent times, Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed’s injury concern is troubling him hard. After sustaining an injury in the West Indies series, he has been struggling with it.
After missing the ongoing Zimbabwe series due to his injury, the pacer is all set to head to England for expert consultation.
Taskin To Head To England
In recent years, Bangladesh has found a gem in Taskin Ahmed. Against the opponent batters, he becomes a nightmare. But the pacer faced a setback as he sustained an injury in West Indies series. Since then, he has been suffering Achilles Tendinopathy and that kept him troubling.
Due to the injury, he was not available for the selection of the ongoing Test series against Zimbabwe. While undergoing a rehabilitation and he was also seen bowling at the Mirpur Academy Ground.
To take his rehab journey to another level, Taskin Ahmed is all set to head to England for consulting the doctors. As the some major cricket events are on the way, Taskin is optimistic that the consultation will provide a solution to alleviate his pain and manage the injury.
BCB's Chief Physician's Words
As he was under the supervision of BCB’s chief Physician Debashish Chowdhury, he has opened up about the step. “He is heading to England today and he has an appointment with the doctor day after tomorrow. The doctor is an ankle surgeon. We have researched ourselves and contacted the ECB before taking our decision and the best possible option was chosen,” he said.
Without Taskin Ahmed, Bangladesh is facing Zimbabwe in a two-match Test series and faced a heartbreaking defeat in the first Test. as the second Test match is all set to commence on April 28, Bangladesh will try hard to level up the series.
