The cricket world is well aware of the brilliance of Trent Boult. With the unreal ability to swing the ball in both ways, Boult has already made his mark in the IPL over the years. As he has been a part of the cash-rich league for a decade now, Boult has delivered match-winning spells and carved out countless unforgettable memories along the way.
While going down memory lane, the legendary Kiwi bowler shared his fondest memory of the tournament. He revealed how he lived his ‘fanboy’ moment in the SRH squad.
Boult’s Fanboy Moment In SRH
After shattering the international cricket scene with some unbelievable bowling magic, Trent Boult entered the IPL arena in 2015 as the Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him in that year’s auction. While representing the side for two seasons, Boult secured 10 wickets in 8 matches.
While playing for the Hyderabad side, he shared the dressing room with some greats of the game. Among them, he lived his ‘fanboy’ dream as he spent time with his idol, Dale Steyn. Years later, Boult fondly recalls that moment as his most cherished memory from the IPL.
“One of my fondest IPL memories is from 2015 when I was picked to play in Hyderabad. I’d idolised Dale Steyn growing up – and suddenly, I was sharing a dressing room with him. That’s the beauty of IPL: getting to play alongside guys you never imagined you’d meet,” Boult said.
Mumbai’s Amazing Bounce Back
After a forgettable season in the last edition, the Mumbai Indians started the ongoing edition with a disappointing defeat against their arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings. After a series of setbacks, their consecutive wins over SRH and CSK have given a huge boost to them in the points table.
With five wins in nine matches, they collected 10 points and climbed up to the fifth position of the points table. While facing Lucknow Super Giants, Hardik Pandya and Co. will be eyeing a thrilling win to secure their place in the top four.
