On April 27, Delhi Capitals hosted Royal Challengers Bengaluru for match number 46 of IPL 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The visitors won the toss and asked Axar Patel-led side to bat first. It is the reverse fixture as DC had defeated the Challengers at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Talking about the two teams, Delhi Capitals have been handed a major boost as Faf du Plessis has returned to the side, while RCB have also made a change as Phil Salt misses out because of fever and has been replaced with Jacob Bethell.
DC vs RCB: Captains' Thought
Axar Patel (Delhi Capitals Captain): "[On batting first have won 7 out of 7 since 2014] Obviously, it is a number and that is a bit of advantage for us. But on this wicket, I would have batted first as well. Looks similar, not much grass and it is a bit dry. If dew comes, it can go in our favor as we can ask for a change in ball now.
Rajat Patidar (Royal Challengers Bengaluru Captain): "We will bowl first. I think the wicket is quite good to bat on and I don't think it will change much in the 2nd Innings. So, we always like to chase so we will try to make most of the wicket.
