Pakistan's wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan faced harsh criticism from fans following his poor performance against the USA. Azam Khan was dismissed for a golden duck in Pakistan's opening game of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Azam Khan entered the crease to bat with his team facing pressure, only to be dismissed LBW by Nosthush Kenjige on the very first delivery he faced.

Nothing is going well for Azam Khan right now. He has been struggling with his form for quite some time, and both the Pakistani media and fans scapegoat him for everything that goes wrong for the team.

Fans accuse him of benefiting from nepotism, as he is the son of former Pakistan keeper Moin Khan.

Fans in the gallery harshly trolled young Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan. Pakistani fans held up posters that read 'Azam Khan Stop Eating,' which was a play on words implying Azam can't stop eating. The video of this incident has since gone viral on social media.


Pakistan made decent total after initial struggle

After a shaky start at 26-3, Pakistan made a strong comeback in the game, thanks to notable counter attacking innings from Shadab Khan and Babar Azam, supported by Shaheen Afridi's efforts towards the end. 

Pakistan managed to post a total of 159-7 in their 20 overs. As of the time of writing, in their chase of 160 runs, USA had scored 94-1 in 12 overs.
