The innings marked the 17th fifty-plus score for Maxwell in T20I cricket, as he extended his tally past former West Indies opener and all-time T20 great Chris Gayle.

During his playing days, Gayle notched up 16 fifty-plus scores in T20Is. Virat Kohli and Babar Azam continue to top the all-time T20I list with 39 such scores each.
