Suryakumar Yadav is the number 1 T20I batter and is a crucial player for India in their search for their second T20 World Cup title. However, ahead of Super 8 stage of the tournament, the charismatic batter suffered an injury scare while taking throwdown in the nets as revealed by eminent Sports Journalist, Vikrant Gupta.

The journalist revealed on his official X handle that Surya got hit on his hand but was back to his practice in few minutes after some treatment by the physio. So, it does not seem like a big worry for India, and he is likely to be fit and ready for the game against Afghanistan on 20th of June.

The 360-degree batter did not make a big impact in the initial two matches of the World Cup, but against USA, he displayed great character and skills under pressure, and scored an unbeaten fifty to take India over the line.

Overall, too, India have done brilliantly, and have shown the ability to bounce back from difficult situations, something which they would need a lot of in Super 8 and knockout stage of the tournament.
