India's swashbuckling right-handed batter, Suryakumar Yadav, made a remarkable impact in the T20 World Cup 2024 by smashing his first six of this tournament at Nassau County Stadium.

It took him three innings to go for a biggie and he did so against USA pacer Saurabh Netravalkar, who had earlier dismissed India's opening duo of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Stepping in at No. 4, Suryakumar knew exactly what was needed. In the fifth over of the match, he unleashed his iconic 'Supla shot' on a delivery pitched at length around leg stump at a speed of 128 kmph.

Suryakumar skillfully got inside the line of the ball and, with superb wristwork, helped it over the fine leg fence for a maximum. This shot not only showcased his talent but also provided the momentum India needed.

Earlier in the match, USA set a target of 111 runs, with Arshdeep Singh's four-wicket haul playing a crucial role in restricting their total.

At the time of writing, India are at 39 for 3 in 8 overs, with Shivam Dube and Suryakumar Yadav at the crease, building on the foundation laid by Yadav’s explosive batting.
