Following a well-deserved victory over Chennai Super Kings, the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad needed a respite from the hectic IPL 2025 schedule and flew to the Maldives. The intention was to unwind, have some recreation, and strengthen team relations.

Before this trip, SRH pulled off an important 5-wicket win against CSK. The bowlers did well, keeping CSK to 154 runs. Ishan Kishan then played a key knock of 44 runs, supported by Kamindu Mendis’ 32, helping SRH chase the target with eight balls left.

Hence, with a long gap before their next game against GT, SRH took the squad to the Maldives for a mini-vacation.

Travis Head Chills By Beachside In Maldives

The Maldives, famous for its beautiful beaches and calm waters, is a perfect place to recharge. It’s not just about resting, players took part in beach volleyball, spa sessions, and other fun activities. It was a great way to unwind and come together as a team.

On the beach, Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma led two teams in a friendly game of volleyball. Videos from the match went viral, showing players laughing and competing with full energy.

Meanwhile, Travis Head took the laid-back route. Rather than participating in the volleyball match, he relaxed on the sidelines, sipped a drink, and basked in the good energy.

That said, SRH's holiday is over as they prepare to meet GT at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 2.

SRH Stay Alive With Slim Playoff Hopes

With only 5 matches remaining to be played in IPL 2025, SRH, who are 9th in the points table, are in a do-or-die situation. In order to remain in the playoff race, they need to win all 5 of their remaining games.

If they manage this winning streak, SRH will finish with 14 points. But even that might not guarantee a playoff spot. It will depend on how other teams perform and, importantly, on SRH’s net run rate (NRR). Right now, their NRR is -1.103, one of the worst in the league.
