In a significant development it has been understood that Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) owner Kavya Maran has arranged a luxurious mid-season retreat to the Maldives for the entire squad, including players and support staff.
SRH Mid-Season Vacation
After securing their third win of the season against Chennai Super Kings, SRH currently sit at 8th position on the IPL points table with 6 points from 9 matches. With their next game scheduled nearly a week later on May 2 against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the franchise seized the opportunity to give the squad a much-needed breather in the tropical paradise.
“Sun, sea, and a team retreat for our Risers in the Maldives! 🏖️✈️,” the team captioned a recent social media post, showing visuals of players enjoying their downtime amid scenic beaches and blue waters.
It is important to note that, the SRH squad is expected to return to India by April 30 and will head directly to Ahmedabad for their clash against the Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans.

This mid-season vacation could prove to be a masterstroke if it helps the players regroup, refresh, and return with renewed focus. But the pressure is on the 'Orange Army' one more slip, and the playoff dream could vanish completely.
Can SRH Still Make It To The Playoffs?
Following a disappointing run of form and with only five games left in the league stage, SRH now face a do-or-die scenario. They must win all their remaining matches to reach the 14-point mark, which may or may not be enough to secure a playoff berth, depending on other results and net run rate (NRR).
SRH’s current NRR stands at -1.103, meaning that even if they manage five consecutive wins, they will also need to ensure those victories come by significant margins.
Moreover, qualification would also depend heavily on how other teams perform in the closing stages of the league.
