Revised school timings issued for PSL (Source:@PSLt20/X.com)
In response to the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL X) matches scheduled to take place in Lahore, the Punjab government has announced a temporary shift in school timings. The revised timings will be in effect from April 3 to April 21, allowing all public and private schools in the city to operate from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Lahore Schools To Adjust Timings Amid PSL
This adjustment is aimed to ease traffic congestion and ensuring the safety of schoolchildren as heavy security and road blockages are expected around PSL match venues.
The decision comes ahead of the 10th edition of PSL, which is set to feature high-profile matches at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. The provincial government has taken a proactive step to ensure smoother commutes for students during the peak traffic hours associated with the matches.
New School Timings Issued For PSL
The SED has also announced revised summer timings for all public schools in the province, effective from April 7 to October 15. As per the new schedule, single-shift schools will operate from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and until 11:30 AM on Fridays.
Double-shift schools will have adjusted hours: the morning shift will run from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM (Monday to Thursday) and 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Fridays, while the evening shift will be from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Monday to Thursday) and 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM on Fridays.
The 10th edition of PSL, which will run from April 11 to May 18, with 34 matches taking place across various venues, including Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. The first match of the tournament will be played between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars.
