New Zealand is set to lock horns with Pakistan in the third and final ODI of the series on Saturday, April 5 at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. The high-octane clash will get underway at 3:30 AM IST and while the series result may already be sealed, there is still plenty to play for.

The BlackCaps have already wrapped up the three-match ODI series with back-to-back dominant performances: a 73-run win in the opener, followed by an 84-run demolition in the second game. They have well and truly called the shots in this series.

For Pakistan, things have gone from bad to worse. From top-order collapses to leaking runs like a sieve, nothing has clicked. With pride on the line, Mohammad Rizwan’s men will be desperate to end on a high and avoid a whitewash that could sting for a long time.

NZ vs PAK Historical Overview In ODIs

New Zealand and Pakistan have a long-standing rivalry in ODI cricket. Across 121 encounters, it is Pakistan who holds the slender edge with 61 wins while the Kiwis aren’t far behind with 56 victories. Three matches ended in no result, and one was tied.

While the overall numbers tilt slightly in Pakistan’s favour, recent form has clearly swung towards the BlackCaps, who have been dominant at home.
